Yes, two posts in one day. It happens.
I took Logan to vote with me: I want him to know how important it is, from the very earliest age that he can begin to comprehend the process. I saw my farmer friend, Rich Everett there—the turnout was heavy, and that is a comfort to me. (Rich says they tilled under the fields today—two tons of tomatoes are now underground, and when you're sitting on the tractor, the world smells like a salad bar.)
When it came time to vote for the most important office in the state, well, I went with a write-in. Not Jon Carroll this time, but someone else I think should have more say in the way things are run. And no, I'm not kidding: that's whose name I printed, in large block letters. You have to vote your conscience, you know? (Don't worry, I did a good job on the rest of the ballot.)
From WarrenEllis.com: “1-866-OUR-VOTE. That’s the number to dial. It goes to Election Protection, a nationwide legal team working today to keep your election fair and protect your rights as voters. If you see or experience something at a voting station that should not be happening, dial 1-866-OUR-VOTE.” (Thanks, Tse Wei.)
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: “Democracy is when the indigent, and not the men of property, are the rulers.” —Aristotle
Again, thanks for visiting.
