If you love farms, rent Hirondelle a fait le printemps ("One swallow brought the spring," but which is Americanized as "The Girl From Paris"). It's beautifully filmed in the Rhone Alps region of France, and the casting and acting are superb. The film depicts natural occurrences on a farm, and if you are easily squicked out by the rhythms of life and death, be forewarned. I thought it very respectful, and I loved seeing all the goats.
More to come soon.

I am easily grossed out, but as long as I kept my eyes closed for the pig/abattoir scene, I found the rest of it fine. And I second the recommendation -- this was a fantastic film.
